All gear recommendations are assuming you want to be a full suite provider of all the services you can offer, rather than just offering one or two services.

Low Budget - Under $1,500 Total

Camera Options

Canon M50 ~$400 used

The Canon M50 is a fantastic APS-C camera that has the capability to shoot 4K video and 3 bracketed HDR images. It carries roughly a 1.6x crop factor.

Sony a6000 ~$400 used

You can't go wrong with this Sony APS-C camera that also has the capability to shoot 4K video and up to 9 bracketed HDR images. It has a 1.5x crop factor.

Lens Options

Canon 11-22mm f4-5.6 ~$300 used

The Canon 11-22mm is an extremely sharp little lens for the Canon M50. It's an EOS-M mounted APS-C lens that's a perfectly viable real estate starter lens. It has a field of view of 17-35mm.

Sony 10-18mm f4 G oss - $300 used

The Sony 10-18mm is a stabilized wide angle lens that carries a semi-low minimum aperture of F4. While it's not the sharpest of lenses, it's quite wide at a field of view equivalent to 15-27mm.

Drone Options

DJI Mini 2 SE - $200 used

While the DJI Mini 2 SE definitely has its shortcomings, it's still a great budget drone with 30 minutes flight time and can shoot 12mp photos and 1080p video up to 60FPS

DJI Mini 2 - $350 used

While the DJI Mini 2 has some drawbacks, it is still a perfectly capable budget drone that carries 30 minutes flight time and can shoot 12mp photos and 2.7K video up to 60FPS

Tripod Options

SLIK 700 DX - $100

You don't want to cheap out on a tripod. It has to be stable, it has to be sturdy. The tripod connects your camera to the ground, so buy something good.

Smallrig 71" Tripod - $70

This should be good enough. Like I said, you want it to be stable and sturdy. Just like you shouldn't buy cheap tires for your car, don't buy a cheap tripod.

Ball Head Options

Neewer low profile 28mm

You don't need a geared head, ball heads are 100% viable, and in fact, it's what I still use.

Neewer low profile 36mm

Medium Budget - Under $3,500 Total

Camera Options

Canon eos RP - $900 used

The Canon EOS RP is an awesome full frame camera. It uses the RF system, and is an extremely capable system. The lenses are more expensive, though, and you'll need an EF mount converter if you want to use EF lenses.

Sony a6600 - $1000 used

You can't go wrong with this Sony APS-C camera. While it does have a 1.5x crop factor, it's still an extremely capable system. Also will have cheaper lenses. Out of these two options, I would recommend getting the Sony.

Sigma EF Mount 14-24mm f2.8

You can never go wrong with a Sigma. While you do need an EF Mount converter when using an EF lens on an RF camera, it's still a crackin' good lens.

Sigma 10-18mm f2.8 E Mount

I personally use this lens. It's a fantastic little lens that is stabilized, has a very fast aperture. It's not too expensive and has a field of view of 15-27mm. Great lens.

Drone Options

DJI Air 2S Fly more

The DJI Air 2s is a fantastic all around drone. 48mp camera, and 4K 60FPS - it's just a great drone and can be bought very affordably.

DJI Mini 3 Pro FLy More

With vertical shooting, 4K 60fps, and a 48mp camera, and weighing in under 250 grams, you really can't go wrong with this camera.

Tripod Options

You don't want to cheap out on a tripod. It has to be stable, it has to be sturdy. The tripod connects your camera to the ground, so buy something good.

Smallrig 71" Tripod - $70

This should be good enough. Like I said, you want it to be stable and sturdy. Just like you shouldn't buy cheap tires for your car, don't buy a cheap tripod.

I personally use this lens. It's a fantastic little lens that is stabilized, has a very fast aperture. It's not too expensive and has a field of view of 15-27mm. Great lens.

Sigma 14-24mm f2.8 - $1200

I have personally used this lens. It's a fantastic lens that is stabilized, has a very fast aperture at F2.8. It's extremely capable, and it's an all around workhorse of a lens. Great lens.

The Canon R5C is a workhorse of a camera with extremely high quality. Highly recommended.

Sony a7Siii

I have personally used the Sony A7Siii and it's an incredible camera with fantastic image quality and ease of use.

Lens Options
